Aphekom releases project's findings
The findings of nearly 3 years of our work show that life expectancy and monetary benefits increase significantly when levels of fine particles are reduced further in European cities. They reveal that living near busy roads substantially increases the total burden of disease attributable to air pollution. And they underscore the benefits from regulating pollution near busy roads beyond the achievements of current EU legislation.
